Step right into the hippest vacation rental in downtown Savannah and fit right in! This cool, modern space located in the heart of the historic district is the ideal place to spend a restful vacation in Savannah within walking distance of major landmarks...leave your car and stroll through the tree-lined streets to the Civic Center, Soho Cafe, Forsyth Park, River Street, and tons of other things to view and see during your visit in Savannah! It has two dedicated, private parking spaces, a rare find in the downtown area.

The Hip Savannah Pad features a large, modern living room area with a flatscreen TV, decorative fireplace, and plenty of seating as well as a futon. There is also a wide-open kitchen with a writing desk, breakfast area, lots of storage, four-burner range, and all appliances you need to cook an incredibly tasty meal. This home sleeps a maximum of 4 people in two large bedrooms with King sized beds, bedside tables with reading lamps, flatscreen TVs, and closets. There is a shared full bath in this home that has central heat & air as well as free Wi-fi and an on-site washer/dryer.

Renting homes from Southern Belle is painless and professional. We take credit cards and require a $300.00 deposit to confirm the booking which is applied towards the remaining balance. For example, if your total is $1,500, we will take a $300 deposit and your remaining balance will be $1200. Thirty days prior to your arrival our booking software will charge the balance automatically. We also sell Traveler's Insurance which covers medical cancellations.

Southern Belle Pool

Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Long-Term Stays

For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For 60 days or more long-term stays, we require an additional clean.

Overall we had a lovely stay at the Savannah Hip Pad, however on our last night there we found a bat in the property. We believe it came in through the door off the street in the front bedroom. We heard something flying around and when we went to see what it was a baby bat was swooping around inside. We were able to capture it and get it out of the apartment but it was a very traumatic experience, and luckily neither of us got bit. We do hope that you check out the door/area in the front there for future guests as to not have the same incident happen to them. Without the bat incident it was an excellent stay. Great place, nice amenities, plenty of space and cute décor. The bat however is something you don't expect to have to deal with/encounter while you are on vacation.

The property was very nice and inviting. Would go back to the same place again. My only hesitation- the bed in the bedroom on the street side was not comfortable- too firm. But I like a softer bed so I would just bring a sleeping pad and use it on the bed. So I can't really fault the property. Most people like firm beds; I am just the odd one who likes the heavenly beds- the more like a cloud the better! I have already told many people about the great people and homes that Home Away have! I hope they will make contact!!

The Hip Pad is in the perfect location. You can easily walk just about anywhere in the Historic District We loved walking to dinner under the canopy of magnificent oaks dripping with Spanish Moss each night. Savannah is a magical place to visit and our week at The Hip Pad couldn't have been better!

Great location, enjoyed the place. Only challenges were traffic and late night party or Doise easily heard from front bedroom, and Parking so tight against trash cans that driver cannot get out of car… Other than those small challenges, a perfect place for us We absolutely plan to stay again next year, just may need to bring a smaller car and we will negotiate among us who sleeps in the front bedroom! :-)

The "Hip Pad" was a lovely spot for our visit! Very centrally located and in a nice neighborhood. We walked everywhere that we went, including out to dinner at night. Beds were super comfy, no issues with noise or too much light while trying to sleep. We really enjoyed the little kitchen each morning as we had our coffee and a light breakfast while planning our day. I would not hesitate to suggest this location to friends and would love to stay here when back in town.

Comfortable and quiet city apartment with great beds and nice touches throughout. There is a little traffic noise in the morning in the front bedroom, but it wasn't a problem. The location is terrific for walking - about equal distance to River St and Forsyth Park. I was using my car and the convenience of parking at the rear door was great as was the easy access to the highways and bridge. We completely enjoyed our stay and had no complaints at all.
