“The Home of Blue Crabs, Beach Music, & Beer.” Stingray’s Bar and Grill’s catchy slogan truly says it all. If you are looking for fun, casual Tybee Island restaurants for great seafood at the beach, this is the place.

Located on Tybee Island and worth the drive in from historic Savannah, there is something for every appetite at Sting Ray’s . Locally owned, this family restaurant provides an easygoing, relaxed dining experience while serving up a wide variety of food and drink. And of course, being on the island means you can get locally caught, fresh seafood!

Sting Ray’s Seafood Menu

Their menu offers a variety of seafood, starting with their list of appetizers – choices include calamari, conch fritters, crab balls, or shrimp cocktail. Entrees include fried or steamed seafood choices (shrimp, grouper and crab to name a few) and there are several combo options if you can’t make up your mind. Their seafood platter has a lot of everything, with enough to share if you’re feeling generous. There are soups, salads, burgers and tacos too, if you’re not in a seafood mood. Or, take things up a notch with grilled wild pacific salmon, mahi-mahi or tuna steak. There’s even a ‘meatless’ burger for the vegetarian in your group.

Really hungry? Get your Sting Ray’s seafood fix by the pound! Littleneck clams, crawfish, Alaskan snow crab, mussels, shrimp, and oysters are offered seasonally. And the children’s section of the menu includes hot dogs and grilled cheese along with the seafood offerings, so there is something for even the pickiest eater.

The Atmosphere

Grab a drink and sit outside on the deck or on the covered porch for the full Tybee experience. Or, sit inside at the bar or a table and watch the action from the casual, conditioned dining room. There is a full bar menu too – beer, wine and of course margaritas! Live music on Friday and Saturday nights adds to the fun. And, if you’re out and about, don’t worry; they do take out, too.
