When the days get warmer, the sun shines brighter, and the birds start singing, you know it’s spring. That’s the perfect time to leave your worries behind and head to Tybee Island for a beach vacation! Pack the sunglasses and sunscreen for your family-friendly spring break. If you’re wondering whether this is a good year for a trip to the coast, the answer is “yes!”

Everything you need to know about Spring Break 2021

Q: What can you do during Spring Break? Is everything open?

Tybee Island beaches and most of its attractions and restaurants are open for business. Check out the seashore, which is easily accessible from all our Tybee Island properties. Our beaches are beautiful and peaceful, with the Atlantic Ocean in the backdrop. Like Tybee Island Lighthouse and Museum, attractions offer fantastic opportunities to explore the natural world and discover the area’s history.

The Savannah River Beach Trail is accessible from the lighthouse parking lot. Take a walk, and you might spot some dolphins.

Then there are other activities like Tybee Beach Ecology and the Tybee Island Marine Science Center.

Spring provides the perfect weather for biking, kayaking, and fishing. Or hang out at the beach, fly a kite and catch some rays.

Q: Are you open for reservations?

A: Of course! You can book online or call our reservationist at 912-289-0130 to assist.

Q: What type of properties are available?

A: Our Tybee Island properties range from one-bedroom condo units to five- and six-bedroom private homes. Our six-bedroom Queen Bee property, for example, is a modern home with an ocean view and private pool. For a smaller rental, the DeSoto condo property offers three bedrooms and two baths with a casual beach theme that will make you feel right at home.

Q: What are the rates?

A: Tybee Island condos and beach houses range from $75 a night to $350 and more for larger homes.

Q: What type of amenities do the vacation rentals offer?

A: Tybee Island is small, less than three square miles. So even our smallest Tybee Island condos and beach houses are close to the beach, and most offer stunning ocean views. You can expect plenty of parking, free wi-fi, and access to a pool at most of our rentals.

Q: Is it safe to visit now?

A: We’ve added a cleaning step using high-end disinfectants on all our vacation rentals. Rentals are disinfected after each stay and again before each new arrival. The methods we use and products we apply in our properties are CDC-approved and used in hospitals. Most attractions have re-opened with social distancing and safety protocols in place. Masks are required. Tickets are only sold online for some attractions, like the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Because the situation is fluid, be sure to check with restaurants and attractions before you go.

If you have any other questions, visit our website or give us a call at 912-289-0130. We’ll be happy to help you plan a memorable Tybee Island spring break.
