Vacation Rental FAQ

Savannah, Georgia is a beautiful and mysterious city where you will find horse drawn carriages, haunted houses, and fine dining and quaint shopping boutiques. A stroll downtown is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. With several Southern Belle Vacation Rental homes in the downtown area of Savannah, guests are close to historical charm, delectable sights and memorable experiences.

The Savannah Riverfront

Walking along the riverfront of Savannah is like taking a stroll through time. Horse-drawn carriages carry passengers along the cobblestone streets. The Savannah River is alive with activity and observers can watch several boats pass by.

City Market

No visit to downtown Savannah is complete without strolling through the City Market. The four-block area has been the hub of Savannah for over 300 years. Enjoy carriage rides around the historic district. Satisfy your appetite for tantalizing snacks and fine southern cuisine at any of the many eateries available. Visit the art galleries and enjoy some of the finest local artwork available. After dark, the market area lights up with food, fun and entertainment.

Forsyth Park

Best known for its very large and beautiful fountain, the Forsyth Park is over 30 acres, making it the largest park in historic Savannah. With abundant seating, the park is a great place to grab a cup of java from one of the nearby coffee shops and relax. The farmers' market on Saturdays and abundant shady areas make this a favorite place for locals and visitors.

Southern Belle Vacation Rentals in the Forsyth Park neighborhood lie at the southern edge of the historic district, so our guests can expect their home to be in a quiet area. To be deemed a part of the Forsyth Park neighborhood, all of our charming homes are within walking distance of the famed and beloved park.

Historic Houses

Savannah is proud of its beautiful houses from the past. Sadly, in the 1950s, Savannah experienced several demolitions and lost many historical gems. However, seven women joined together to form the Historic Savannah Foundation and saved the beloved Davenport home within 24 hours of its demise. The remaining homes have been turned into museums, restaurants and other public buildings so everyone can enjoy the vintage beauty and charm.

We are proud to say that we have some historical houses that are adjacent to the historical Facing Squares available as vacation rentals; there's no better way to experience the charm and beauty of the southern queen of hospitality! Contact us today to see if one of these historical beauties is available for your next vacation.
