The Isaac LaRoche House Main House

Step into this historic, well-appointed home, and enter an era of gracious living. The sitting room is spacious and elegant with a period fireplace, sofa, armchairs and a shimmering chandelier. The hardwood floors are polished to a mirror finish, and antique touches transport you to earlier, more eloquent times. The wall-mounted TV, tucked away in a corner, provides contemporary convenience while large windows let in energizing sunlight.

The adjacent formal dining room features a table with seating for four plus tufted armchairs, a decorative fireplace and built-in shelving filled with books. A crystal chandelier illuminates a sideboard and numerous antique accents. A back door leads you to a porch and beautiful courtyard that is shared with the main house. This is a perfect spot to get some fresh air or enjoy a morning coffee.

The kitchen, just off the L-shaped space, contains a stainless-steel refrigerator, range/oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. Like all our Savannah vacation rentals, the home has plenty of tableware, cookware and utensils on hand for your forays into Southern cooking.

Venture up the grand staircase to find your sleeping quarters, which are designed down to the last detail to promote relaxing, restful nights. Similar to the main floor, luxury takes top billing upstairs. Each of two bedrooms boasts a king-sized bed complete with linens, a ceiling fan, a wall-mounted flat-screen television, large sunlit windows and tasteful wall art. One of the two adjoining bathrooms features marble countertops and a glassed-in shower stall while the second has a glassed-in tub/shower combination.

Isaac LaRoche House is just a block from Pulaski Square, a lovely green space that is one of 22 squares within the Historic District. It is a great place to enjoy the cool of the evening or a brisk morning constitutional.

Forsyth Park is a bit farther afield, but just a quick jaunt via the free shuttle bus that runs throughout the Historic District. The largest greenspace in town, Forsyth Park is a mecca for those who love the outdoors, offering plenty of walking paths, fragrant gardens, play areas for the kids, monuments and the pièce de résistance, a wonderful Parisian fountain. You will find photo ops galore, so bring along your camera. You can drop by the Forsyth Park Café for lunch, pack a picnic, or sample one of the other casual restaurants nearby.

The city's other historic burial ground, Bonaventure Cemetery, features in the novel "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," and was once the site of a plantation. Poet Conrad Aiken and songwriter Johnny Mercer are two of the more recent notables buried there.

You can find a score of sterling examples of period architecture throughout the Historic District, and tours are available with guides with proprietary knowledge. One of the notable homes to see is the Pink House near Reynolds Square, a fine example of Georgian architecture that was built for James Habersham, Jr., a member of one of Savannah's founding families, in 1771. Today, the building is The Olde Pink House restaurant, so you can also enjoy a gourmet meal while you are there. You may even catch glimpse of Habersham's ghost, which reportedly wanders the mansion.

The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist near LaFayette Square offers visitors on Savannah GA vacations a prime example of Victorian gothic architecture. First opened in 1799, the cathedral is a marvel of ornate arches and spires that tower over the city. Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Wonderful stay. Lovely home. The location, right by Pulaski Square, allowed us to easily walk around the historic district and to come home to a peaceful and beautiful setting. We were able to park our car in a parking spot in front of the house and use the Savannah parking app, when needed, to pay for parking.

This past week we had the pleasure of staying at the Isaac LaRoche House in Savannah. There were 2 couples & we were in town traveling to The Masters. The LaRoche house was perfect for our group of 4! Beautiful historic home that was clean and full of charm! Sothern Belle, the managing company, made our experience super convenient and easy! We had check in information before our flight took off in Texas, so I knew we were go to go when we got into Savannah! They texted along the way to check on us, and check out procedures were minimal and easy! I would highly recommend this location & working with Southern Belle Vacation Rentals!

My husband and I recently visited Savannah as Milton approached our Florida coastline. We feel so fortunate to have discovered the Isaac LaRoche Main House property! It was a truly special place to ride out the hurricane. Years ago my husband and I renovated a 3 story 1908 home at the Jersey shore, and operated an AirBnB property as well. That said, the Isaac LaRoche property is stunning! The owners have done an amazing job restoring this beauty! Everything about it far exceeded our expectations including the customer service we received from the management company, Southern Belle! Each and every detail was addressed professionally and thoroughly! We do hope to return again sans a hurricane!

What a great experience! La Roche Main was ideal for the 2 couples traveling. The space was a perfect size for visiting with old friends and allowing us to retreat to individual bedrooms/bathrooms at night. The property was spotless. The location was central to sightseeing and dining...who could ask for more when visiting Savannah!

Our stay at Isaac LaRoche was perfect. The home is located on a beautiful square that is located in a quiet corner of historic Savannah. It is within a stroll for coffee, food and other interesting areas. As for the home, beautiful furnishings, cozy beds, perfect back patio for coffee and super clean all throughout. We loved it.

Loved staying in your old Savannah restored home. It's the perfect size for four and the location is in within walking distance to so many wonderful sites and restaurants. We appreciated the nice bedding and comfortable furniture. And loved the Vetiver scented oil throughout!

IT was exactly as portrayed. We loved the furnishings and decor. We got to meet the owners and such lovely people. Things to report to manager 1. Both bathrooms have toothpaste on glass in medicine cabinet. 2. Both bathrooms have not very clean rugs. 3. Used dental floss on bedroom floor. 4. Cereal under dining room table. 5. Handle missing on first bedroom dresser drawer. 6. Light in front bedroom over bed burnt out. 7. Face plate (control panel) loose on microwave. 8. Water filter for refrig. 9. Jet rinse for dishwasher. 10. Back shower rubber seal is hanging on bottom door.

The house was an elegant, comfortable home base for us from which we could explore Savannah. The renovations done to the building were remarkable. The owners tastefully mixed modern amenities with Victorian-era architecture to create a living space that's refined and immaculate but still cozy. We will be certain to recommend it to everyone we know heading to Savannah and we hope to return soon.
