Southern Belle Vacation Rentals in Savannah, GA, and Tybee Island, GA provides first-class amenities including access to our exclusive resort-style heated pool located at 19 Silver Avenue, Tybee Island GA. All of our homes are professionally cleaned after each stay, and disinfected using a quaternary disinfectant throughout the entire property prior to each new arrival.

The Riverlodge Estate

The large home sits on the banks of Tybee Creek, a picturesque waterway not far from the island’s Atlantic coast and just a few minutes from shopping, restaurants and attractions. Across the water, you can see Little Tybee Island, a wetland renowned for its diversity of wildlife and flora.

Inside, two complete levels accommodate two separate families with three bedrooms, two baths, a fully stocked kitchen and communal spaces on each floor. On the main floor, a generous screened porch with river views offers plenty of seating, including a bistro table, cushioned benches, picnic tables and a wicker conversation grouping.

Step through gracious French doors into the living area. Comfortable sofas, hardwood floors and a flat-screen television invite you to sit down, breathe deeply and relax.

The dining room boasts a big farmhouse table that seats up to eight. The main-floor kitchen includes a granite-topped island with a breakfast bar that seats three. A full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, range-oven and microwave streamline home-cooked meals. Plates, cups, flatware and cookware fill the cupboards and drawers.

Also, on this level of the Riverlodge, you’ll find three spacious bedrooms with queen-sized beds, perfect for any combination of couples and kids. The first features a wall of windows with a street view.

The second bedroom has big windows, a desk and beside tables. The third is a corner bedroom and benefits from windows on two sides. A roomy wardrobe and dresser offer ample storage for your clothes. Both of these bedrooms overlook the main floor deck.

Two full bathrooms are handy to all three bedrooms. Both have a tub/shower combination. A colorful mosaic tile floor distinguishes the first while the second has a cozy, vintage vibe.

Upstairs, an expansive atrium-style ceiling opens up the living spaces. A wrap-around balcony helps you make the most of the spectacular views from your aerie.

Inside, a cozy sitting room with a sectional sofa and TV is a great spot to write postcards or check your email. The dining room overlooks the water, so you can watch passing boats and paddleboarders while you enjoy a family-style meal.

The contemporary kitchen offers all the amenities you’d expect in vacation rentals Tybee Island GA, including a full complement of appliances and fully stocked cupboards. All you have to add are fresh ingredients from Tybee’s shops.

Explore further, and you’ll find a fabulous master suite. Furnished with an ample king-sized bed plus a twin and trundle, this suite sleeps four and is ideal for a family. There’s a chaise lounge and desk in a sitting area by the windows, and a ceiling fan for added comfort at night.

The ensuite bathroom boasts a stone-tiled bath and shower plus plenty of shelves and cubbies. Like guests in all our Tybee Island vacation homes, you’ll have plenty of fresh towels to see you through your stay.

The second bedroom has a queen bed and a breathtaking view of the waterfront. Wicker seating, a roomy wardrobe and a ceiling fan complete the charming tableau. The third bedroom provides pair of twin beds. A set of windows overlooks the outdoor seating area. The second bath on this level has a tiled shower and chic, country-style décor.

Like most of our Tybee vacation rentals, Riverlodge includes a number of additional amenities like air conditioning, a washer/dryer, covered parking, and Wi-Fi. Don’t forget about our swimming pool, reserved exclusively for Tybee Island vacation homes guests. It’s a great way to exercise and socialize too.

Step out to the private backyard dock and take in sweeping views of the river, where golden sunsets paint the sky each evening. Whether you're sipping a glass of wine beneath the covered pavilion, enjoying a quiet morning coffee, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings, this scenic riverside perch offers the perfect setting to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature.

Nearby Tybee Island Activities

If you want to get a closer look at the area beyond the creek, take a kayak tour of Little Tybee Island. Strangely enough, the actual 6,780-acre area of this unpopulated wetlands is about twice that of Tybee Island proper. The children and adults in your group will find the native flora and fauna fascinating.

Egrets, herons, storks, and roseate spoonbills are among the waterfowl you’re likely to see on your Little Tybee tour. You’ll also find stretches of pristine beaches where you can walk and search for shells. Maritime forests are also a part of this diverse ecosystem.

Getting there is as easy as touching base with one of the gear rental and tour companies on Tybee. Tybee Island Charters, for example, caters to Tybee vacation rentals guests. They offer two to four-hour kayak tours and a Sunset Picnic package too.

When you return after an adventurous day, stroll on over to AJ's Dockside Restaurant for a fresh-caught meal. Visit nearby Tybrisa Street for dessert. They're both just a short walk away from the Riverlodge estate.

Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located at 19 Silver Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets
This property is not pet-friendly. If you’re traveling with a dog, ask us about our pet-friendly properties that accommodate up to 2 dogs (50 lb combined weight max) for a $130 pet fee.

Long-Term Stays

We had a wonderful experience with Southern Belle and the property was outstanding. This was a multi-generational trip with my adult children and grandchildren. The house was beautifully furnished and had so many places to gather. The views, especially the sunsets, were spectacular. We saw numerous shorebirds as well as dolphins and caught a wide variety of fish. Even though we were practicing catch and release, several fish were large enough to have kept. We caught a sizable sheepshead. Most meals we went out to an area restaurant and Pier 16 and Bubba Gumbos were favorites. Breakfast was made in the well-equipped kitchen. The house is charming with gorgeous heart pine flooring and comfortable beds. It is a short walk to the fishing pier and a bit further to town, but not far and very walkable. We enjoyed watching movies, playing board games and fishing. We attended a Savannah Bananas game- lots of memories were made. We enjoyed pastries from the auspicious Bakery and the Savannah Scone Company and lots and lots of Leopold's ice cream. Ages ranged from 8 to 73 and we found the stairs easy to navigate. I would rent from this company and stay in this property again with absolutely no reservations. We highly recommend this as one of our all-time favorite places and we have made many many visits to Tybee.

What a bright, cheerful house this! We had a group of 12 friends and family celebrating a 70th birthday and this house could not have been any more perfect for our needs. The house is immaculate! Beds super comfortable, sheets and towels of the highest quality. Everything we needed for preparing meals. The gazebo provided a wonderful gathering spot in the evenings for dancing and fun. There are so many cozy places to sit and read or join in with festivities. The rental company replied to my text messages within 10 minutes and were fabulous to deal with. Don’t hesitate to rent this incredible gem!

Loved the big house. There were 10 of us and we had plenty of space. It was clean and spacious. The dock was a great place to sit for hours and watch the events on the water. Loved it. Would highly recommend it

The River Lodge on Chatham Ave was exactly everything our family of 14 needed to have a great stay on Tybee Island. The House of very clean and everything provided that we needed to enjoy ourselves. The dock out back was a great hangout and fishing spot for all our grands and big kids too. The location to everything on the island was great- walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Thanks for all the attention Southern Belle gave us

We enjoyed our trip to Tybee Island and your house is adorable. The views were gorgeous and we spent a lot of time out on the dock. A couple mornings we even watched the dolphins while having our coffee. I recommend this rental to multiple couples or families. We had four couples and we put two on each floor and each had their own bathroom.

This gorgeous home is a dream. Imagine quiet mornings on the expansive porch with your coffee, watching dolphins in the Tybee River, cocktails on the dock with a picture perfect sunset setting overlooking Tybee Island, and low-country dinners on picnic tables with enough space for your extended family. This house is very special with tasteful touches through-out, comfortable couches to curl up in, and a one-of-a-kind sunroom perfect for that vacation puzzle. The exterior staircase that leads to the upstairs unit creates a separate space, what my family dubbed, the sanctuary, for more quiet members of the family. Plenty of space for everyone to gather and also have their own private nooks. There was even a copy of the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It was perfect. Southern Belle ensures that the towels are abundant and fluffy, the ice trays full, the cleaning pristine, and staff were helpful and available on both the phone and through texts. My extended family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Riverlodge and exploring this most beautiful area of Tybee Island. We feel blessed to have been able to be the first guests!
