Built in 1892 and designated a Historic Landmark in 1973, the elegant charm of Southern Hall will transport you to turn of the century Savannah! Totaling 1,534 square feet, highlights of this spacious first floor two bedroom and one and a half bathroom condo include an elegant interior, two lovely outdoor porches, spacious, enchanting courtyard, and ample parking. The serene blue grey color scheme is complemented by ten and a half foot ceilings, eleven chandeliers, hardwood floors, three decorative fireplaces, floor to ceiling curtains, antiques, and artwork at every turn.

A bright and roomy great room will welcome you with two comfy sofas, a flat screen smart HDTV, and decorative fireplace with grand antique andirons. Oversized artwork and mirror along with a gorgeous chandelier will wow you! The mirrored dining table comfortably seats six with stylish upholstered chairs. Fix yourself a cocktail from the bar cart and stroll through the Tudor French doors to relax on the classic Southern front porch. Your biggest decision will be the porch swing or rocking chairs. Adjacent to the living room, you will find the well-equipped kitchen featuring a baker's rack with dishes, cookware, and cookbooks (the owner’s wife is a retired professional yacht chef!).

The bedrooms in our Savannah vacation rentals will make you feel right at home. Both spacious bedrooms feature super comfy king sized beds, high-end pillows, flat screen smart HDTVs, oil paintings, and interesting accessories. The “Mahogany” bedroom has windows overlooking the courtyard, private access to the side porch, and a hand-carved, gilded console and mirror from a Palm Beach estate. The “Blue” bedroom also has access to the side porch, decorative fireplace, plush upholstered bed, and a Maitland-Smith side table with chairs. The covered side porch offers a settee and two chairs overlooking the lush vegetation and a ceiling fan to stay cool. You'll love going outside in the morning or evening for a relaxing moment away from everything!

The full bath features two ornate sconces over pedestal sinks, a tub-shower with plenty of water pressure, and a dressing vanity. Southern Hall features high speed Wi-Fi with ample bandwidth for all your electronic needs. There is also a stacked washer and dryer for your convenience.

The 25 by 30 foot courtyard has fig ivy covered walls and features tables and chairs which can be configured into dining for twelve or split into smaller intimate seating. A full size gas grill enhances the outdoor dining experience. No courtyard in Savannah would be complete without an angel statue. This one is five feet tall and exudes the sublime feel of the courtyard. Your private off-street parking space is located behind the courtyard at the back of the property off Hall Lane. Please note that the courtyard is shared with the two bedroom upstairs condo. You can also choose to add that unit to have your own private four bedroom estate!

Southern Hall is located on one of Savannah’s most picturesque streets, this estate residence overlooks a lovely brick and cobblestone street with ample, free on-street parking. Hall Street features wide sidewalks which are tree lined with crepe myrtles, magnolias, and evergreens. This area of the Savannah Historic District boasts amazing restaurants, cute coffee shops; and the Kroger grocery store (with Starbucks) is less than a block away. Three houses down is the popular Mate` Factor coffee and tea house which serves fabulous sandwiches and decadent pastries (Cherry Almond Muffins!). Just a three block walk to Forsyth Park, take the time to stroll among the Spanish moss draped live oaks, people watch from a bench, and visit the iconic fountain. The historic riverfront is a beautiful 20 minute walk away.

Forsyth Park could be considered the hub of Savannah for both locals and tourists alike. On any given day it might be bustling with people walking, reading, playing sports, lounging in the sun, or attending a concert., And don’t miss the Saturday farmer's market! Forsyth is the largest park in Savannah's Historic District and stretches over 30 acres. Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

What a wonderful and beautiful place to stay while visiting in Savannah. Antique furnishings and elegance in every room! The front porch area with rocking chairs and swing were the best place at the end of the day. And no interior stairs! Easy maneuvering for those that can’t handle a lot of stairs. The coffee shop on the corner is the best little hidden treasure!

We enjoyed staying here very much. We loved the location. We liked the cafe and bakery down the street. And of course, the main thing is it's location amidst older houses and within walking distance of the downtown, historic sites, museums, bookstores, and places to eat. Having a local supermarket was a bonus. The accommodations were very comfortable.

We had a wonderful time staying in this gorgeous old home. Coffee or a cocktail on the front porch is a nice way to spend some time. The lovely french doors onto the porch and the pocket doors in the kitchen are such works of art and a testament to the craftsmanship. It has been remodeled perfectly to bring the old and new together in a comfortable, welcoming home. The beds were fantastic, nice towels and linens and fully stocked kitchen. We would be happy to stay here again!

The accommodations at Southern Hall were exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed, the beds were comfortable, the furnishings were lovely, and the history and charm of the home made our stay perfect! The location was perfect for exploring the many neighborhood squares and Forsyth Park. The coffee shop on the corner was delicious and had a very comfortable relaxing vibe. Riverwalk was less than 2 miles away and a quick and an expensive Uber ride. Our visit was a short few days and we still have a lot more to see of magical Savannah so we will definitely return!

Our stay was very comfortable. The property is well kept, clean, and very functional. The only thing missing was sufficient soap for the bathrooms. We had only one small round pat of soap in the half bath with none in the large bath. Fortunately I had a bar with me we used. Since everything was so well cleaned, this must have been an oversite. Well located to Forsythe Park and the historic district, it was perfect for walking. We also appreciated the parking space in the back as it enabled an alternative to street parking when we were required to move for street cleaning. Thank you for a lovely place to stay!

We had a wonderful week-long stay. It was a perfect property for two couples—a comfortable & spacious historic beauty. The house is conveniently located a few doors down from a lovely coffee shop we frequented, to a grocery store, & to the riverfront which is just a mile away. Everything was easy to get to on foot. In addition, parking was easy—we parked on the street in front & close to the house. In my opinion, it was a great way to experience the historic district.

The location was great within walking distance to downtown, Forsyth Park, and local transit stops. The corner coffee shop was really nice as well the cafe by the Park. The apartment was great. This was one of the most beautiful rentals we've ever experienced. The decor and antiques just were so amazing. It was very clean and very close to Forsyth Park. Everything was very close, but it was nice to be out of the fray-- truly a retreat.

If you want to experience the charm of Savannah and feel like you are part of the city I highly recommend the Southern Hall location. It is filled with southern charm and in a fantastic neighborhood. We enjoyed walking a 1/2 block to an amazing coffee shop and having coffee in the rocking chairs on our front porch. Easy to get to all that Savannah offers with squares, tours, and amazing restaurants. It was also a great home base to travel to Tybee Island, Beaufort, Sea Islands, Charleston, and Hilton Head. We felt safe, relaxed, and part of the neighborhood!

We were delighted with our accommodations. The space was decorated beautifully and was surprisingly spacious. The owners of Southern Hall have maintained the historic charm of the era which i appreciated. We felt completely at home. We spent a lot of time in the outdoor areas, on the porch swing and rockers as well as the secluded side porch. The kitchen was well stocked and the cookware was quality. It came with everything we could possibly need to prepare a meal. The location couldn't have been better. We began by driving to our destinations until we realized that everything we wanted to experience was so close. What a great walkable city Savannah is. I would recommend Southern Hall to anyone planning a trip to Georgia.
