The covered balcony is the place you will want to return to throughout your stay. Bring your morning coffee outside and take in the view across the green space and low palms toward the beach. Watch the water while you plan your day, or linger after an afternoon in the sun as the evening light changes over the ocean. Ships passing offshore add another reason to pause and take in the scene. The balcony is covered, giving you a comfortable spot to enjoy the view at different times of day. Large glass doors connect it to the living room, so the ocean remains in sight when you head inside. Inside, the condo’s airy layout brings the living room, dining area, and kitchen together. The living room offers comfortable seating where your group can gather after a day at the beach. Put on a movie using the flat-screen TV, share stories from the day, or open the glass doors to let in the sea breeze. The open design makes it easy to spend time together while still leaving room for everyone to unwind. The dining table seats six, offering plenty of space for four guests to enjoy meals together. Start the morning with breakfast before heading down to the beach, come back for lunch between swims, or settle in for dinner after a full day out. It is also a convenient place to spread out a map, play a game, or make plans for another day on Tybee.

Nearby, the kitchen has white cabinetry, natural-stone countertops, and full-size stainless steel appliances. A refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher give you what you need to cook and clean up at your own pace. You will also find a coffee maker, toaster, and cooking essentials for preparing meals at home. Whether you are making a quick breakfast or spending a relaxed evening in, the kitchen keeps everything close to the living and dining spaces. A full-size front-loading washer and dryer are located in the kitchen as well. The Tybee Post Theater, local shops, and island restaurants offer more choices when you are ready to head out. You can also make a day of exploring different stretches of shoreline. Walk along North Beach, visit the pier on the island’s south end, or find your favorite place to sit and watch the waves. For a different view of the coast, consider a boat tour, kayaking excursion, or another outing on the water.

A visit to Fort Pulaski National Monument on nearby Cockspur Island offers another opportunity to explore the area’s history and scenery. Lighthouse Point is a gated community on north end of Tybee with private beach access, tennis courts, two on site swimming pools, and a kiddie pool. Please note the Lighthouse Point community pools are open year round but they are not heated.

Accessibility note: This unit is on the second floor of a raised building and is accessed by two sets of stairs. There is no elevator in the building.

Beautiful waterfront North Beach condo

Overall

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful ocean front condo on North Beach. You are actually at the junction of the Savannah River and the Atlantic so it’s much calmer water, fewer crowds on the beach and you still get gorgeous views. This property has obviously been recently renovated, was spotless, and the management company was very responsive & helpful and we would definitely rent this property again.

We visited Britt Obama during spring break and were so thankful we had such a perfect view of the ocean due to massive winds (over 30mph gusts!!!) during our stay. The gated community was quiet and safe. The beach was almost empty of people which made for great shell hunting and ship viewing. The Britt Ohana condo was very nice! Loved the calm beachy decor and you just can’t beat those views! We had a fully stocked room with even enough toilet paper and trash bags for our stay. Towels were plush and seemed new. Loved close proximity to lighthouse and North Beach sites. Loved shopping at Seaside Sisters, eating pizza at Huckapoos, and touring Fort Pulaski. Such a great visit….just wish we’d had warmer weather for more beach time.

We enjoyed having coffee in the mornings watching the sunrise over the ocean from our balcony. We were also able to watch the cargo ships traveling up and down the Savannah River. Such a great view.

Beautiful view of the ocean, very nice and clean condo. We had a few issues with bathroom outlets not working, hot water heater and furnace not working but when I texted the customer service person, she responded right away and told me where to find the breaker box and we were able to resolve the problem immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay in the condo. It was a perfect location on the island with easy access to everything. The patio was a great place overlooking the beach that you could drink coffee and watch the sunrise over the ocean. We would definitely stay again as we had a great experience with the rental and it was above our expectation. Private access to beach was perfect and just steps away. 5 out 5 Stars.

We found this unit to be very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The complex was very quiet at this time of the year which we very much appreciated. My husband especially enjoyed watching the huge container ships from the unit's balcony that were heading to and from the port of Savanna. We would definitely chose to stay in this unit again on any future visits to Tybee Island if it was available.
