One of our smaller Tybee vacation rentals is the El Rey 1 property on the north part of the island. It features sleeping space for four guests in one bedroom with one bathroom. The floorplan is very cozy with a gourmet kitchen and sitting area in a light and bright room with wood floors. Immediately adjacent is the queen bedroom and across from that is the bathroom with a standing shower and laundry area. The sitting area features a sofa and a flatscreen TV. Like all of our Tybee Island vacation homes, it is meticulously cleaned and decorated to make you feel right at home.

Activities for Guests of Tybee Vacation Rentals

The best part about staying in Tybee Island vacation homes is that you have the best of both worlds between Savannah and Tybee. Spend your relaxation time in a tranquil beach atmosphere, but rest assured that you're only 30 minutes from downtown Savannah by car. If you choose to spend most of your time around vacation rentals Tybee Island GA, you'll have plenty to explore just on the island.

One of the favorite spots for guests of Tybee vacation rentals is the Tybee Lighthouse on the north end. Towering 154 feet over the island, the lighthouse offers trips to the top and original outbuildings with a museum detailing its history. Probably the second top spot on Tybee is the Marine Science Center near the southeast of the island. This fun learning center features touch tanks, aquatic displays, ecology tours and more. It's an excellent spot for visitors with children.

Dolphin-watching tours are another popular excursion for visitors. Captain Mike and Captain Derek provide dolphin tour services. Both outfits also provide other water activities, including fishing and cruises. Tybee bike tours are another great way to fully explore the island in places that cars and other motor vehicles cannot go. Bike rentals are available throughout the island, and some will even deliver to your door.

Tybee Beach Breakdown

There's no doubt that Tybee's biggest draw has to be its beaches. The island features three Atlantic beaches, including South Beach, Mid Beach and North Beach. South Beach is by far the most popular, and it's also right next to Tybee's primary business district. Mid Beach is slightly less crowded and usually preferred by locals. North Beach is on the Atlantic, but it's also right on the mouth of the Savannah River, making it a great place to watch ships come in.

The other two beaches are the Savannah River Beach and the Back River Beach. These are both freshwater beaches and feature low waves and places to spot dolphins. Both beaches are often popular with families.

Drive to Savannah

Visitors who stay in vacation rentals Tybee Island GA only have about 30 minutes by car to see all the amazing sights in Savannah. Probably the top way to learn about this historic city is to spend part of your day on the Old Savannah Tours. For more tour action, head to River Street to take one of the riverboat cruises. A visit to this city by the river would not be complete without experiencing this historic activity. Be sure to explore the rest of River Street while you're there. This long promenade offers a bevy of unique galleries, boutique shops, restaurants and pubs.

The place on every Savannah visitor's list is likely to be Forsyth Park. The 26-acre park can be found at the southern end of the Historic District and features walking trails, places to picnic and the picturesque iron fountain.

Nearby is the Monterey Square and The Mercer House, which were featured in the "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" franchise and remain popular tourist spots. Art buffs will enjoy a visit to the Savannah College of Art and Design in the same area. The college also runs several galleries throughout the district.

Southern Belle Pool

Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Long-Term Stays

For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For 60 days or more long-term stays, we require an additional clean.

This place had everything we were looking for. Everything was laid out nice and was clean. Check in and check out instructions were clear. The Southern Belle team was very responsive and welcoming. Definitely would recommend this vacation home to the next couple that’s looking for one in the Tybee - Savannah area.

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for our first time ever visiting the island. It was super cute and close to the beach. It was about a 4 minute drive, or a 15 minute walk to the ocean. It was also super close to the coffee shop, Tybean, which is adorable! We walked there each morning. The owners were super easy to get ahold of and very kind. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Great cute little condo. Location is about 24-30 mins to Savannah and less than 10 mins to the beach. Place looks exactly like pics. Convenient, quiet and equipped with everything you need. Highly recommend booking this one!

I was very impressed with the apartment. Very clean, had all the necessaties, I loved the bathroom the shower was awesome. A very nicely furnished, decorated, comfortable condo that is easy to get to, easy to explore from, and conveniently located if you want to be close to the attractions but do not want to be right in the crowded hustle bustle of the south end of the island.
