Visiting historic Savannah is probably the best part of Georgia vacations and it's best to savor it when you have plenty of time to explore. Of course, any time you stay in Savannah, you want comfortable accommodations close to everything you want to see. That's where Southern Belle comes in. One of our great Savannah vacation rentals is Fountain View Cottage. This property has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a gorgeous courtyard complete with a water feature. The location is as convenient as they come with the historic district and Forsyth Park right nearby. There are also plenty of nice cafes and restaurants such as 700 Drayton and Local 11 Ten. The property is a short walk from downtown, Broughton Street and the famous River Street, which has plenty of its own great dining establishments such as The Olde Pink House and Vic's On The River.

History

Come inside Fountain View Cottage and enjoy a living room with plenty of seating and a well-stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals, plus conveniences like a microwave, tea kettle and coffee maker. Flat-screen TVs are in every room so you can keep up on your shows or have a movie night. Plenty of windows bring in the Savannah sunlight. The bedrooms are cozy with plush bedding and quaint decorations. Relax in the evening by stepping outside on the porch and enjoying the view. Southern Belle's vacation homes Savannah are stocked full of all the amenities you need to have a relaxing time on your business or personal vacation. We offer all bedding and bath items as well as all the cookware and appliances you need to spend time in or out.

Finding things to do near your vacation homes Savannah is one of the easiest aspect of Georgia vacations. Simply open your front door! Just walking down the streets and enjoying the antebellum architecture and Spanish moss-draped trees will give you a feeling of the mystical atmosphere of Savannah. Head into the historic downtown and get ready to explore museums, famous landmarks, old mansions and much more.

Make your way to Monterey Square and The Mercer House, which was built in 1860 and a big part of the well-known film and book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." Part of the movie was filmed at the house and the Mercer-Williams House Museum is available to tour. River Street is another famous part of historic Savannah and it used to be the center of trade back in the late 1800s. Old cotton warehouses are now a vibrant community of restaurants, shops and bars. There are plenty of opportunities to shop in Savannah, whether on River Street with its boutiques and galleries, or on Broughton Street with a variety of brand name retailers and local favorites.

In the Area

A visit to Savannah would hardly be complete without stopping at Forsyth Park. Not only will you see the famous iron fountain landmark found in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," but it is also a great place to walk, take children or spend a quiet afternoon with a picnic. Savannah is also the place for ghost hunters with plenty of old cemeteries and ghost tours to enjoy. Visit the Colonial Cemetery in the heart of downtown and explore six acres of old memorials. There's also a number of events and celebrations that go on in Savannah every year. Make sure to ask what events might be taking place during your stay.

Rate Information

Renting homes from Southern Belle is painless and professional. We take credit cards and require a $300.00 deposit to confirm the booking which is applied towards the remaining balance. For example, if your total is $1,500, we will take a $300 deposit and your remaining balance will be $1200. Thirty days prior to your arrival our booking software will charge the balance automatically. We also sell Traveler's Insurance which covers medical cancellations.

Southern Belle Pool

Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets

If you would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

Long-Term Stays

For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For these reservations, we require an additional cleaning at a cost every 30 days. The cleaning cost varies by property. Please call 912.289.0130 to set up your cleaning schedule.

This place is perfectly situated so you are in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood but walking distance to so much downtown . If it hadn’t been for the rainy weather, we would have walked everywhere! Parking is easy on the street. Had no issues finding a spot. Place was smallish, but perfect size for my husband, myself and two preteens. The home is decorated tastefully and couch/beds/pillows comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a meal. Kitchen and bathrooms both spotlessly clean. We accidentally locked ourselves out (on a Sunday night, no less )and we texted the after hours number and someone got back to me ASAP. We had a great stay and definitely recommend this home for your Savannah stay!

We had a wonderful stay in the Fountain View Cottage! Would definitely go back again. Lots of space and a quiet environment only 15 minutes walk away from the center. Had everything we needed. We could make our own breakfast and a top restaurant (Strange Bird) was nearby for delightful chicken wings and burgers. Savannah is a beautiful city to walk around with the Forsyth park also nearby if you want some shade from the sun.

This was a great location with all the amenities of home. We were able to rest, relax and explore in Savannah. The bunglow was well stocked with all your daily needs, it was very clean and located close to Forsyth Park but away from all the hustle and bustle of River St. We could catch the free Dot bus which had pickups all over the city which made adventuring fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back soon.

Highly recommend. It was so clean and pretty. Very happy to find a vacation house with no indoor staircases. Very quiet, yet so close to some main streets. We took Ubers everywhere. We arrived after dark and the house had lights on and was so welcoming. The bathroom was very clean, with good water pressure, plenty of hot water, light and bright. The kitchen was very well equipped. Dishwasher and frig with icemaker, looked like new and worked great. Mattresses were so comfortable. Three TV’s made it really nice. Husband watched sports in living room and I found plenty of things to watch with all the streaming channels in the bedroom. The closets were large. Very please and will be staying there the next time I’m in Savannah. Added bonus, small chandeliers in both bedrooms!!

Fountain place is extremely centrally located. We were able to walk to SCAD, wonderful restaurants, parks etc…. Beds are comfy. Kitchen well equipped however we dined out so much during our stay I only heated up leftovers. Stayed with my daughter and felt safe and comfortable

This is a lovely rental, very up to date. There is ample (and free) street parking. It was comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. We enjoyed walking to Forsyth Park and to a number of eateries nearby (Black Rabbit for sandwiches, Betty Bombers for a dinner, and a pizza to go from Treylor Park Pizza Party). We would stay there again.

This is a perfect getaway in the middle of the historic district. We appreciated the peaceful courtyard just off the street that had a hidden away type feel. The house itself is clean, cozy, and ideal for our family of four. The beds were comfortable and the best way to rest after a busy day of visiting the sites. The cottage is located right next to a historical Baptist church which was a cool surprise in itself. It wasn’t until our 2nd day that we noticed a plaque attached to the lower front right side of the cottage indicating it’s unique historical nature; a Freemason’s Dining Hall! The location is perfectly located near Forsyth Park in a upcoming looking area. There was a cool bar (Black Rabbit) known for its food that is one block over. We walked absolutely everywhere, including River Street multiple times. We enjoyed it due to the historical beauty that you’re surrounded by as well as the abundant beauty of nature with the mossy trees that make Savannah such a special city. I would definitely stay at this exact place again. Loved it!

The beds are comfortable, the unit was clean and was within easy walking distance to Forsyth Park. We cooked dinner a couple of nights and the kitchen was well stocked for us. Kroger is fairly close by for groceries. Also, the Black Rabbit Soup/Sandwich/Bar was about a block away for a delicious lunch! We would definitely stay her again.

as I mentioned above..I'd recommend cleaning products that are without oder.. The refrig smelled heavily of Clorox when we arrived. The entire home had the lingering smell of what I think was "Tide" washing detergent. Suggest cleaning products with no odor. Maybe hand screens for the windows so they can be opened. The weather was so lovely during our stay but we couldn't open the windows to enjoy the fresh air because we didn't want bugs flying in.. Couch was very stylish but very uncomfortable. Other than that very enjoyable!!

We really enjoyed the rental, especially the courtyard. We liked sipping on our coffee in the mornings in the courtyard. There house was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. We four ladies felt safe walking around, the locals in the area were really nice and steered us in the correct direction.
