Oglethorpe Manor Garden

One of our available Savannah vacation rentals in this area is the Oglethorpe Manor Garden. This is one of our smaller Savannah vacation homes with room for four guests in two bedrooms with one bathroom. It overlooks the cemetery on the north end and is also close to a number of other Savannah attractions like the Owens-Thomas House and Oglethorpe Square. As is standard with all of our vacation rentals Savannah GA, it offers plenty of nice amenities, including flatscreen TVs, wireless internet, a washer and dryer, two queen beds, full kitchen and central air.

Oglethorpe Manor Garden features soft neutral shades and the main sitting room has a casual modern look with sofas and chairs arranged around a large flatscreen. Immediately adjacent is the full kitchen, which features full-sized standard appliances and lots of counter space. It has a cozy feel with wood floors and cabinets. It also has a small breakfast table with two comfortable chairs. The bedrooms feature queen-sized beds and additional seating, lamps and stands. Once you've settled into one of our vacation rentals Savannah GA, you can continue with the best part of exploring Savannah. Positioned right in the heart of the historic downtown, you only need to go outside your door and start walking in the direction of what you want to see.

From this house, you can stroll north to find the Davenport House Museum, the Owens-Thomas House and Leopold's Ice Cream. Also to the north are Columbia Square and Warren Square. If you continue down Oglethorpe to the east, you'll eventually run across the Webb Military Museum and Crawford Square if you take a slight turn to the south. Directly south you'll find the Colonial Park Cemetery, and just south of that is the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, as well as Troup Square and Lafayette Square and also the Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home. Head west on Oglethorpe from this property and you'll discover the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplaces, plus Chippewa and Wright squares and also the Harper Fowlkes House.

All of these sights are within a short radius of this property and there's so much more to do in Savannah beyond that. Most Savannah visitors are also keen to explore Forsyth Park, which is the biggest park in the city and has a number of famous attractions like the iron fountain and the fragrant gardens. Another popular spot is River Street along the Savannah River. In Savannah's past, it was home to rows of warehouses serving the city's busy shipping industry. Those warehouses have been transformed into a wide range of restaurants, galleries, shops and more.

If you have time to spend outside of Savannah, you can't miss taking a trip over to Tybee Island. It's only 30 minutes from downtown and offers all the sand and surf you could want. Make sure to visit the Tybee Lighthouse on the north end of the island as well as some of the local waterfront restaurants.Another great activity option when staying in Savannah vacation homes is to attend a special event if one is happening during your stay. Our recent stay at Oglethorpe Manor/Garden Level for New Year's Eve was fantastic! Thank you Southern Belle Vacations for making the reservation process, check-in/check-out and every detail of our stay seamless and exceptional! We can't say enough about what a pleasure it is to deal with Southern Belle when we plan our travels to Savannah! As for Oglethorpe Manor/Garden Level, it feels like our "home away from home"....completely sufficient for our needs (2 bedrooms/1 bath, full kitchen, washer/dryer, locked private courtyard, parking, etc.) and in a location that makes getting around (by foot) to our favorite places very convenient. The only downside to the property is when the upper main level is rented, the noise can be a little much, but we have learned to overlook it. So, thank you again, Southern Belle (and your lovely staff ~~ Tonya/Mia/Georgia) for exceptional service and helping to make our Savannah trips the best of the best!

Just wanted to share a review of our recent visit to Savannah and our stay at Oglethorpe Manor. First and foremost, a sincere thank you to Southern Belle Vacation Rentals for handling the reservation process for us. It is a pleasure to deal with you folks there for the whole process & if there is anything we ever need addressed, you are just a phone call away & things are handled expeditiously, which we appreciate! Southern Belle Vacation Rentals offers a grand variety of places to stay while in Savannah, and Oglethorpe Manor checks all of our boxes in terms of what we're looking for with our accommodation needs. The location offers perfect walking distance to everything, the size of the unit is perfect for 2-4 people, the washer/dryer is a bonus, and the beds are comfortable....the one thing we'd like is if there were "2" bathrooms, but we make do with it having just one. Again, we can't speak highly enough & give praise to Southern Belle Vacation Rentals! There are many options when it comes to choosing accommodations in Savannah, and our tried-and-true, go-to place is Southern Belle Vacation Rentals!!

We enjoyed our stay on East Oglethorpe during our long weekend in Savannah. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and dishware to meet all of our needs. We were in a very safe area and enjoyed walking to so many close attractions and eateries. Our hosts checked on us several times to be sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We loved the location; it was so convienent to everything. The area also felt very safe and clean. The alley and main street were also well-lit at night. In my opinion it was a far better value than a hotel room. The space was large and had plenty of room. It would have been nice to have a bigger table for eating and a dresser or two for clothing; were there 6 days. Having the washer and dryer was great especially since we were there so long and needed to have fresh towels. We were curious about the history of the property and found out some interesting things after we left. It would be nice to have a blurb hung on the wall or a pamphlet around if there is a known history i.e. year of construction or people who previous lived there. I would say that we only have one complaint and that was the noise from the above unit. It was very peaceful and quiet when we arrived on Sunday. However, on Wednesday the guests arrived in the unit above us. We were gone from about 7:30am-2pm most days but during our time in the unit all you could hear was talking, footsteps, people going up and down stairs and they played music A LOT. I'm not sure how loud it was to them but we could hear every word especially in our bathroom and front bedroom. One night they came in late and were so loud it woke me up from sleeping. I hope to stay at this property or another Southern Belle property the next time we visit Savannah.

Should somehow find a way when booking, guests who are going to be partying should not be upstairs at 230 Ogelthorpe Ave. We could hear EVERYTHING. Every footstep and every word. They were very loud. Parking was very tight. The girls who were there obviously didnt know how to park. We had to comlain cause they hogged it all.
