If your dream vacation involves relaxing in your very own beach cottage, this is the house for you. Surf Puppy is a charming little cottage in central Tybee. Just walking up to this home will put you in a vacation mood. Nestled in between other cottages and surrounded by a white picket fence, this cheerful home is a fun pink color with aqua accents. It's shaded by palms and native Tybee pines, and it sits off of a lovely outdoor patio.

Stepping through the front door puts you in a welcoming, cheerful space. We decorate our Tybee Island vacation homes with designer decor that creates the perfect backdrop for your trip. The beach cottage's layout is centered around an open living space. This area contains a living room with a cozy couch and fun wicker furniture. It also has a dining area with a table that seats four and a media area with a flatscreen television. The whole room is decorated in soft, natural hues, perky aqua shades, and refreshing white tones. On the walls, a gallery wall displays local artwork.

The other end of the living space opens onto a fully-equipped kitchen. Like all of our Tybee Island vacation homes, it has an oven, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. We also provide all the cooking basics, including pots, pans, knives, dishes, and cups. Smaller appliances like a coffee maker, toaster, and blender add even more functionality to the kitchen. The crisp white cabinets and granite countertop create a relaxing environment for cooking meals with your loved ones. You can enjoy hosting dinner parties at your cottage or save money by whipping up a quick lunch at home.

Get a Great Night's Sleep at Surf Puppy

As one of our mid-sized Tybee vacation rentals, this cottage is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom home. It comfortably sleeps up to four people. The spacious main bedroom contains both a king-sized bed and a twin-sized bed. It's perfect for parents with children or ideal for vacationing groups of friends. The bedroom has a cheerful white, green, and aqua color scheme with plenty of natural light. It also contains several spots for clothing storage and a flatscreen television.

Across from the bedroom is the cottage's bathroom. The walk-in shower is a nice spot to unwind and rinse away sand and salt, and the sink and vanity provide plenty of room to get ready each day. The same area also provides access to a full washer and dryer. You can clean beach towels between each use and avoid having to bring a giant suitcase filled with fresh clothes.

Our Amenities Make Your Vacation Even Better

In addition to all the basics, our vacation rentals Tybee Island GA also provide some helpful little luxuries. Free parking and automatic check-in let you arrive on your own schedule and come and go with ease. We want to make sure our guests feel at home, so we offer a lot of fresh towels, clean linens, and comfortable bedding. Surf Puppy is also filled with a lot of great outdoor amenities. Like all our other Tybee vacation rentals, you have access to the Southern Belle swimming pool. This resort-style pool is a great place to nap under a shaded pavilion or swim in a heated pool. The grounds around Surf Puppy are beautifully landscaped and contain plenty of spots to enjoy Tybee's lovely weather. In the front yard, there is a spacious paved patio with Adirondack chairs and tables. It's the ideal place to sip a cup of coffee in the morning, or you can use the grill to cook up a tasty outdoor barbecue. In the backyard, a screened porch offers a shady spot to relax in. There is also a private outdoor shower, so you can rinse off any sand before heading indoors.

A Central Location to Enjoy Tybee

Surf Puppy's location makes it one of the most convenient vacation rentals Tybee Island GA. It's situated right between Mid Beach and South Beach on Tybee. You can choose to go to the southern part of Tybee for tourist attractions and nightlife, or you can go to Mid Beach for surfing, paddleboarding, and other water sports. This area is filled with a lot of fantastic places to eat and things to do. A few favorite options include AJ's Dockside, Fannies on the Beach, and Chamacos Tacos & Surf.

The central location also means Surf Puppy is only a short trip away from northern Tybee. This part of the island is known for being peaceful and laid back. You can go to North Beach to see dolphins, turtles, and other wildlife, or you can visit the Tybee estuaries to see unique Tybee nature. The island is home to many interesting attractions, like the Tybee Island Light Station and Fort Screven. If you get one of our Tybee vacation rentals at the right time of year, you can even check out fun local festivals like the Pirate Fest or the Beach Bum Parade.

Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitmarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Guests with Pets
If would like to bring along your dog(s) during your stay, we do have some pet-friendly properties allowing up to 2 dogs and the total weight cannot exceed 50lbs for a pet fee of $130. This notice is not an indication the home you are currently viewing is pet-friendly.

For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For 60 days or more long-term stays, we require an additional clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Surf Puppy! The house is clean and very cute. The kitchen is nicely appointed and had everything we needed for a month long stay. The location is convenient to beaches, bars and restaurants and we were able to walk everywhere. I would highly recommend Surf Puppy if you are visiting Tybee Island.

Great place to stay especially if you have pets. Close proximity to the ocean and you can hear the waves from the back porch and front yard. Walking distance to restaurants, pubs, grocery store and shops. Lost an earring and let the staff know. They found it and let me know they had it in the office and would send it to me. The staff was also great about checking in to make sure everything was in good order. Looking forward to going back!!

Surf Puppy was a quaint place in an awesome location. It’s within walking distance to the pier and shops. Locals told us of great places to eat, Huc-A-Poos and Bubba Gumbos were excellent!

Cozy little home. My family and I (wife and 2 kids) spent a week on Tybee here. Wonderful place to lay your head. We're a pretty active family. The house isn't large, but it's perfect place to base your stay. There's just enough kitchen to put together meals if you're interested in eating in. The outdoor shower is really nice if you're coming in from the beach. Surf Puppy is on a quiet street a few off the strip. Which is great for a quiet retreat. A short walk from downtown or the strip it's a great strategic location. We had a lot of fun.

The Surf Puppy was charming. Not very 'upgraded' as far as the inside goes, but we didn't mind, that's not what we were going for. The outside area w/the grill and patio were perfect for us and our pups. Location was great, staff was great with responding to texts etc... We have decided this is our vacation destination from now on. We will be booking Surf Puppy again for next year. thank you!!

What a great location! This cute, clean cottage had everything we needed, and the stress started to melt away the minute we opened the white picket fence. We could walk everywhere, and the food during rrstaurant week was amazing! The special touch of a text to make sure we had everything we needed a few hours after we arrived was the first we experienced with any VRBO rental and an amazing, professional touch to make our customer experience a true 5 stars! Thank you Surf Puppy, Southern Belle Team and Tybee Island for one of our best vacations ever!

This home is absolutely DARLING! Perfect for a small family/couple. It is small, but has everything you need. The laundry onsite is a huge bonus! We also loved the outdoor shower! Bring a couple extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels (we ran out halfway through the trip), some dishwasher tabs, and tide pods, as those aren't provided. The home was extremely clean. The location of the home couldn't be better, we walked to the beach daily even with three small children and did not find it too far. We also walked to restaurants, the pier, and shopping! Renting a golf cart for one day or so to get to the side of the island with Huc-a-Poos is all you need, we didn't use our car once! Also, BRING BUG SPRAY! The skeeters are viscous! If I could give our stay more than five stars, I would! My family had a wonderful time!

My two granddaughters, their mom, and I (4 of us) has a blast at the surf puppy! Upon arrival everything was super clean and spotless. Southern Belle gave us very specific directions on check in and check out , leaving us without any questions! You have about a 7 minute walk to the beach and within walking distance of multiple food options. The space was perfect for the 4 of us. The beds were super comfy. The patio out front was perfect for us to all sit together and hangout. Overall we all agreed that the outdoor shower was our favorite thing of all , it was perfect for spraying down after the beach or just showering beneath the stars. The pool was beautiful although we personally chose to spend our days at the beach because that's what we came for! Definitely recommended staying at the surf puppy, will be staying here again in the future!
