The summer months are on the warm side in Savannah, but that’s no problem when there’s a cold cocktail waiting around every corner. A frozen drink hits the spot on a hot day, and we are here to share some of Savannah’s finest!

The Bamboo Room on West Congress is a tropic-themed bar where you can find a place to escape. It offers a laid-back vibe with its South Pacific-style decor. The drinks have exotic names and are served in glassware that’s a throwback to the tiki bar era. Immerse yourself in this hideaway in the heart of Downtown Savannah.

The Frosty Frog Xpress at 223 W. River St. advertises world-famous daiquiris that you design yourself. Pick your proof and your flavor or mix and match. Go bananas for the Banana Creme, or try a Wicked Apple. And you know a bar with “frost” in the name is sure to be a spot where you can cool off.

Lizzy’s Burger Bar & Grill, 417 E. River St., is a great place to soak up the alcohol with a messy burger while sipping a spiked milkshake. Choose from the Nutty Reese’s Cup, Boozy Caramel, or Spiked Oreo. They serve traditional frozen cocktails, as well.

Have your pick of colorful flavors at Wet Willie’s, a frozen drink institution in City Market and River Street. Just walking in Wet Willie’s cools you off when you see those frozen drink machines spinning their mad magic of mixes. You’ve got your choice of fruity flavors like mango, strawberry, sour apple, and pina colada, along with more traditional drinks like margaritas and white Russians. These drinks are strong and slushy.

A newer spot making waves in Savannah is Zunzibar, 236 Drayton St., with its bright beach theme and build-your-own margaritas. The frozen Banana Hammock with rum, coconut, banana, and lime is a favorite, but you can’t go wrong with any cocktails on their menu.

And just so you know, most of these spots also offer non-alcoholic drinks among their frozen menu items.

Let us hear from you! What’s your favorite place to go for frozen drinks in Savannah?
